DIDACTIC UNITS

Didactic Unit "Colours"

The units we want to work with the children are:

Colours
- Animals
- Vowels
- Food
- Numbers

From these five units, we are going to develop the unit
about colours, as we think it is the most interesting one.
The unit, "Colours", seemed the most suitable and it
offers a large number of activities.

Before starting with the usual activities of the day, we
sing a welcome song where kids can learn to greet in
 English, and say good morning.

At the end of each activity we will again sing a song of
“goodbye”, so that the children can learn to say goodbye
 in English.
This project will be developed for children around 2 to
 3 years old.

Activity 1:

Development:
We will sit with children in the carpet, and the teacher
shows them some pictures where a colour appears we
will learn a total of 3 colours. The teacher will say the
name of the colour in English and will ask children to
repeat it all at once. They would repeat several times.

Then, the teacher will show different objects of the
same colour as we've taught before and ask “What
colour is it?” and children will say which colour is it
 in English, and so on.
